Size info for those considering future drops: I'm 5'11, 145lb., 37.5" chest, 30.75" waist, and went with a Small. The fit is okay, but it is a little snug around chest / arm holes. It fits well enough that - without a return option - I'll keep the jacket rather than sell it, but I would size up if I could.

Just got back from a few weeks in Peru and the Xenon X was AWESOME. Super light, soft, and comfy, and because it packs down small, I was able to bring it everywhere. It came especially in handy in the Sacred Valley and Cusco, where the nights can get quite chilly. (My partner, who only brought his favorite Carhartt hoodie, was pretty jealous!) Pictured here at Machu Picchu.

kristinatenWonderful picture! thanks for sharing. That jacket fits you well, and I love how Rab jackets usually have longer sleeves, which is evident in this picture with your arms up and the sleeves still fitting perfectly.

Just a word about sizing: I'm 6'-0", 170 lbs, 41" chest and size Medium is snug across the chest. Sleeve length and waist OK, but there is no chest room for a fleece layer. An R1 layer is OK but nothing thicker. If you plan on layering, go for the Large. My Nano Air (Medium) fits me much better.

Any possibility of recieving this by 5/27? Probably hard to say but I would love to have it by the time I leave for out of town. Didn't look like there was an option to expedite shipping from massdrop. Thanks

DigitalsmittyDid I say anything about the price? Regardless, multiple colours of the Nano-Air Hoody are on closeout sale now on the Patagonia site for $179, which is a bargain compared to what I paid. I'd happily pay a $59 premium for versatility and improved performance.

I'm confused by the sizing. Does anyone know if this jacket is sized different from other rab? From the comments it sounds like this jacket runs big. I have the rab Microlight Alpine Jacket in a medium and normally I wear a small.
Also, I realize this is not ultralight but I would love to have a drop for any of the Rab long parkas for next winter.

beachgirlHi, answer I got from Rab for same question (men sizes) "Which Alpine jacket do you own? The Microlight perhaps? Regardless, the Xenon should fit fine in a medium providing you only intend to wear a baselayer underneath. If you want to wear more then moving up a size is recommended"

Is the hood always out, or is there a pocket on the collar to store it when not being used?

I'd like to get in on this but not sure about the sizing. I'm 5'11", 160lbs. Is there anyone here close to that with knolage of this jacket? I can wear a medium in most jackets but on some the sleeves come up short and I hate that. I didn't want a large if it's going to be baggie. Thanks for any help given.

ogthekingHi, I`am 5'11'', 170lbs, (and the same problem with sleeves ) and in previos drop for Rab Alpine microlight Mediam was a perfect match, (measuring Alp.Micr sleeve is 64cm). Hope in this drop Medium will be ok

I bought this jacket for the full retail price from another website and can attest to its "do everything" qualities. I agree that it is not particularly breathable, but I will use my Atom LT instead when circumstances dictate. My other knock is that the hood shape is funky -- intended to fit on top or underneath a helmet, but blockish without a helmet. This is an amazing price.
