I have carried a pocket knife for 52 years. I've had quite a few pocket knives--most being 3" or smaller. I have a couple that are about 3.5", but I rarely carry them. I chanced upon the Raidops Aquilo and was impressed by its reasonable price on Massdrop and some reviews that I read. So I ordered one and I'm glad that I did. The knife is robust, way overbuilt, and the blade is thick and sharp. I went for the serrated version as I had no serrated knives in my collection at that time. The knife is gorgeous! It is so well put together. Centered, sharp, great G10 handle, superb locking mechanism, and opens smoothly with the thumb studs. I am astounded at the quality given its price: $82.74. I rotate my various pocket knives and find that the Aquilo is one that I carry a lot and is probably my favourite pocket knife when I'm knocking about in my blue jeans or at my camp. If I am wearing dress clothes, I tend to carry a smaller, lighter knife--a gentleman's folder such as a Mcusta MC-7 Kasumi pocket knife or a Maserin Atti 389 gentleman's folder; otherwise, I carry a workhorse of a pocket knife. The Raidops Aquilo is a splendid example of a workhorse knife and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Pretty nice blade. Very thick and decent detent, very heavy and again wide. Love it though. The serrations are not very practical for the Small size of the blade but if not for that it’d be utterly awesome.

This folder is very well built with good blade centering and rock solid lock up. It is heavy, as I expected, but not unbearably so. Sharp out of the box with a better than average factory edge, it appears evenly ground and symmetrical from side to side. I find myself wishing it was a larger knife simply due to my very large hands. Those with average sized hands should love how this fills your grip with wonderful ergonomics. Overall this is a great, if a bit weighty, tactical and heavy duty folder.

A solid, chunky knife. I really disliked the clip - very stiff and virtually impossible to use on heavy denim. I replaced it with a Pops Custom deep carry clip intended for a Spyderco Delica. Installation only required drilling out the clip holes to 0.120” As mentioned previously, the bevel is a bit odd, but easily fixed.

Not a bad little knife, works well only had a bit of a funky edge bevel nothing I can't fix.
