I have heard of so many people getting great deals on Ralph Lauren watches, but some of RL's choices are unusual. Why have the date window, then not decorate the movement? Also, why would one cover up the world time wheel save for one little corner? Doesn't that negate the benefit of a world time watch? Most of all, is this a sport watch, and if so, why on earth does it have roman numerals? This looks like b-stard created by a Hublot raping an Ulysse Nardin.

SkipPpShowing the world time wheel around the dial only makes sense if there is a main dial GMT hand. Re design it's a personal opinion I guess. I like this one, roman numerals and all, even though it doesn't necessarily fit into traditional stereotypes. Better pic of the movement here - http://blog.watchuseek.com/2012_12_06_archive.html

larsvThe movement looks so beautiful in your link. In the pictures in the listing here the movement is undecorated. Are they two different models?

SkipPpI think it's the same, just crappy product photography. You need a very pointed light source to bring out the details, very different from the white box used for most online product shoots. As someone else posted, a product like this one needs more and better photos. Search for "RL939 movement" to find more pics.

larsvThank you. The price makes a lot more sense now. That movement is killer.

SkipPpThe 10:00 crown sets the second time zone, which displays at 6:00, and the bottom complication displays the time and the day/night status for that time zone. The adjacent time zones are also legible in the window at the bottom, but they don't need to be. As another commenter explained, this is not a GMT-hand style watch.
I think it's a pretty cool watch, but I can't afford it. I hate chronographs because they are too busy, but I don't mind power reserver indicators, and the date complication is more legible than a window display. The second time zone is a better use of a complication than putting the seconds there.
