Got mine the other day! When I first put them on, I was shocked at how uncomfortable and awkward they felt. I was really regretting my purchase. Decided to wear them out and try to break them in a little. They're still not nearly as comfortable as my San Antonio Shoemaker shoes, but they're at least a little less abrasive after some wear. Also, the leather is ridiculously soft. I've never felt such lush leather. The paperwork that came with the shoes declared that it was the finest leather in the world, and I think I believe them.

I agree with this sentiment completely. At first my Rancourt's were very uncomfortable. I don't have a particularly high arch, but the top of my foot felt like it was being smashed. But I loved they way they looked and the quality of the leather and after a few weeks of regular wear they've stretched into the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. These are my favorite all-around shoes ever, I wear them every day at the office and I'm on my feet most of the day.

NiophantYeah, I noticed the same weird low ceiling thing. If you're on your feet a lot, I would also suggest checking out SAS (San Antonio Shoemakers). They're American made and, in my opinion, several magnitudes more comfortable than my Rancourt's. They are made for diabetics, and I don't really know what that means or why diabetics need such incredible shoes, but my god, they are the best.

Good news, everyone!
We just spoke to the vendor and he said that we could lower the minimum quantity needed to place an order so that everyone could get their orders in.

I'm really excited about these shoes! They will be my first pair of US-made, high quality shoes.
I don't know if this will help others, but I thought I'd share. I wear a 10.5 or 11.0 in all my shoes (mostly 10.5), and I have somewhat wide feet. I contacted Rancourt and Co. to ask about sizing, and they recommend that most people size down a half size from their true size, as measured with a Brannock device because unlined chromexcel stretches. There's a sizing tool that can be printed from the Rancourt website, but I couldn't get it to print correctly (problem with my computer's settings most likely). I ended up going with a 10.5 in the D (medium) width, since I don't mind these stretching in width to mold to my foot, but I definitely don't want these to be too short in length.
