Brief review:
Okay so I've had the loafers a few weeks and they have finally "broken" in. The left shoe felt noticeably tighter and killed the top of my foot so I had to resort to a leather conditioner to allow the leather to conform/stretch to my foot. I guessed that in my old age my left foot had grown larger even though I've never had this problem before. No big deal, right?
Actually, upon further inspection the segment that is stitched to the "Beefroll" shows 2mm longer than the right shoe. I then noticed that the outside of the shoes stitched to the Beefroll show a 5mm difference between the left and the right shoe. Now if these shoes were made in China and not touted as being "hand crafted and made to order" and cost $250, I would not care at all. Although, upon looking at may various sport shoes (Nike, Asics, Puma) the segments that make up the shoe are symmetrical and sewn flawlessly.
On the positive side the shoes look really nice with high leather quality. And the "color #8" is beautiful.
Perhaps, my expectations were too high and/or I'm being too critical. Maybe, I just got a bad pair.
