FaceMcBashyI guess you can say I've "tested" a few gaming chairs at Quakecon and a couple retail outlets before. To me, they're superior to many chairs big chain office and furniture supply stores sell since they include things such as adjustable arms. However, in comparison to my office's Herman Miller Aeron and Steelcase Gestures, they are no different in terms of build quality or ergonomics to the cheap crap you can find at Office Depot. When searching for the perfect "gaming" chair that matches the quality of stuff I use at work, I've decided to bite the bullet and buy a used Steelcase Leap V2 for $250 locally. The chair was from an IT firm that ordered the office furniture Q2 of 2015, but for whatever reason, moved offices from DFW to Austin and San Francisco.
That said, the chair I've purchased is in like-new condition, also has the "remainder" of a 12-year factory warranty, and more importantly, is adjustable and comfortable for long sessions. I no longer suffer from back or neck aches from sitting nor have a chair that doesn't fit me properly. If you can find one in like new condition, I will not hesitate to recommend one.
As for your questions; the Leap is quite breathable. the foam/fabric doesn't seem to get hot like leather and seems cooler than my old Ikea chair. Still not as breathable as the Aeron, but still cool. The fabric is sorta spill resistant, coffee will stain, but if treated will come out.

Other than that, I don't buy into the "gaming" theme for anything and I would rather stay away from it. Thus, only the brown and black option suits my tastes.
I know I am asking a lot but I don't really have an option of sitting on it before I decide.
