The Récife Amber fountain pen has become synonymous with the French company’s elegant style. Each pen’s body and cap is made of marbled resin in patterns that cannot be duplicated Read More
Wow ... i was skeptical about all the "it's a rebadged cheap Indian pen" talk until i clicked that link below, because Colorado Pens sells Recife's for roughly the same price as MD, and they look pretty much the same. But it sure does look like the Airmail 58c on Fountain Pen Revolution for $15. I was tempted, but ... pass.
Not sure where this Recife or Airmail is manufactured -- I have some Recifes that I've owned for 20 years -- including a big black rubber one, called I think Vulcan -- feels like a tire. And a few smaller Recife crystals with transparent barrels with various colored caps that are eyedropper filled, and don't leak. Amazon even sells the ampule ink refills for the crystals -- https://www.amazon.com/Recife-Crystal-Eyedropper-Fountain-Refills/dp/B00CRM4WZI
Wow, I have one of these, in green.
I think I have had it for about 20 years, so I'm going to suggest that it's possible that this is NOT just "another $8 Indian/Chinese pen," as when I bought mine, there wasn't anything of the sort coming out of India/China.
This pen is obviously made by Airmail/Wality in India. I own a nearly identical pen, without the added-on metal grip section and rebadged nib. I paid $16 and it is a great pen. I can't see paying this much for a frankenpen.
StenoYep - I was going to post the same thing. It looks like it is a $10-$15 USD Indian pen re-branded and being sold for $44 - $60 USD here on Massdrop. (The difference seems to be the section - one is metal, and one is not)
