Don't waste your money on this knife, its not worth it, buy the steell version. I bought this knife for the look and the materials, i can not open this knife with my thumb or my thumb and index finger or three fingers, who the Hell wants to stand there and fumble too open the knife. I have the steel version and it opens with no problem. I don't know who designed this knife fuller but they should go back to the drawing board and start over or maybe keep the same design as the original because it works.
Joecool64Do you know if the spine of the blade is thin enough to install a thumb stud onto it? I don't have the actual blade but I am kind of looking for something like this but I hear people saying the same thing as you; that it cannot be opened with thumb.
I'm super disappointed with the milling on the carbon fibre. It looks like it was ripped by a worn bit. It's terrible! At least they could have sanded it after!! The lines in the scale still are sharp to touch, and there's fibres coming off.

Now wished I got the full titanium version. Although the blade arrived super sharp.
Just got mine - it's 10 days after shipping, and the presentation is rather nice.
The build is decent for the price, and it has a pretty hard detent so it doesn't fall open. I like the marbled CF, and the price was right.
The closest equivalent I have is the Spyderco Native 5 in CF, which is similar in handle and blade size / cutting edge. The only difference between the two, besides the price, that you can open the Native 5 one-handed thanks to the backlock.
The fuller is also a lot better for me than the regular version's thumb stud.
Great knife!
But... anyone else able to open the knife one handed? Seems the sharp edge on the fuller opening got dulled in the media blasting. The detent is great. 🤷♂️
I’d rather not have to give opening a knife that much concentration. I’ll probably be finding someone local to mill a spydie hole for me. Then it would be perfect.
TehDudeTry opening it towards the front edge of the fuller - I find it opened pretty easily there with a pinch grip with the fuller efge between thumb and pointer finger.
JSoloIt doesn't. It's very plain and there's a small Real Steel logo on the back side of the blade and the steel metallurgy and part number stamped near the pivot on the blade.
