Hailed as a super steel, ELMAX is created from a process of powdered metallurgy, delivering a great balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, toughness, and dimensional stability—and it’s the point of focus in the S7 Snow Leopard from Real Steel. Measuring 3.5 inches long, the drop-point blade is suitable for slicing, cutting, piercing, and more. For safety purposes, you can lock the blade shut with the built-in blade lock. Of course, any good blade needs a good handle to match, which is why the handle is composed of smooth yet grippy G-10. It measures 0.7 inches thick for a rock solid feel in the hand. Satin-finished to match the blade is a pocket clip for tip-up or tip-down carry on the right side.
Note: In testing our sample, we found that the Mutex-Alpha “lock” will keep the blade from opening accidentally, or under light pressure. However, it is not a fail-safe lock as the blade can be opened if significant pressure is applied.
