I tested the small with my old skullcandy inkd for 2 days and now the earphone no longer functions. I even took special care when unwinding the cords by sliding my thumb on the coil to expose the cords instead of pulling the buds and made sure the spring tension is loose enough to leave some slack. I noticed that more that half of the time, the tension on the cords aren't the same during the unwinding so basically one of the cords tends to take all the brunt of the pulling. You can slowly feed the cord during winding to prevent this, but I thought the point of the product is to be practical, fast and hassle-free. also, there's definitely a learning curve on how to use it properly, which is ok, but I expected a point-and-shoot product after seeing the video guide. Never pull and release like they did in the video unless you're winding a piece of rope. All in all, Recoil works good with sturdier cables - USB, charging cable, SATA cables, even my flat 12 ft 30pins (12 ft!!) - which can take more abuse and rather inexpensive to replace, but I won't use it with any earphones I can't afford with pocket change. This product would make a nice stocking stuffer. I'm planning to get 3 more of the large for myself too. Oh and the rack IS a joke unless you glue it onto a surface. I hope they would stop including it for the sake of being green.

WeirdSatayWhat about the rack is a joke? It keeps the winders standing, taking up less space. Is there another desired use case I'm missing where it fails? Obviously you need to hold the winder in the rack while winding and unwinding...
