A good number of the 65g tactile Zealio switches that came with my kit are faulty. They actuate well before the bump and when the key actually crosses the bump two or more presses are registered. I'm going to have to desolder about 25% of the keyboard and replace the switches with another set of Zealios I have from an earlier GB.
I thought these issues had been resolved after the first few rounds of Zealios but I guess that is not the case.

there is a fix on geekhack that doesnt require desoldering. its not a defect in the switch its caused by a iron thats too hot.

breitling88I've used my Edsyn for something like 10 keyboards and never had this problem before with standard Cherry switches, so I do consider this a problem with the switch, unless the temperature of my iron is drifting, which I admit I haven't verified.
I ended up desoldering and resoldering a quarter of the board. In the end everything worked, so at the very least the switches have some significant differences in how they react to heat.

I had no problems with any of the boards i did until zealios either. Once i lowered the heat on my iron it didnt happen anymore. i now have 4 boards with zealios and 2 numpads with zealios and i only had the problem on my first. its a finnicky design which requires more care for sure.

breitling88Thanks for the info. My iron doesn't have adjustable temperature, but hopefully this conversation helps out others.
