At this price there should absolutely be a choice of nib sizes. Get the ultra reliable Platinum 3776 from Japan with a gold nib and more than half a dozen nib options instead.

jlambBasically Regals are all just various body price-points for the same bog-standard medium German nib. If you're in love with the body, you should get this pen. If you'd like a good, solid pen built around a decent steel nib, Massdrop often has a Regal fitting those specifications for $30 or so. I really love my Regal Fitzgerald, so much that I would consider splashing out for a higher-end Regal with a Gold and/or flex nib. I guess they're not that imaginative at Regal. :P
All of which begs the question: have you been committing on any of the many fine high-end pens that have come through lately? There have been some pretty awesome pens indeed since that yellow mess from a few weeks ago. I haven't, but only because of a recent commitment to Yamaha powered monitor speakers.
