Between $199 and $159 for a DIY numpad!? You guys are nuts. I wouldn't even pay half the price for that!

Edennikr? I'd rather just buy the PCB and top plate for like 20-40 bucks, 3D print a custom case, and call it a day... I've been looking for a numpad for a while, but I'm on a tight budget...

George.KaraMaybe check out the MechPad on www.mechkeys.ca. It's CAD$65 (~USD$50), which is a pretty good price. There are some options on Aliexpress as well (I'm eyeing the XD24).

clee290They MechPad is sexy, but kind of out of my budget. Plus, I'm living in Greece, and I'm gonna get shafted with shipping and handling. The XD 24 looks pretty good, but I've found some competition at the same price range. Thanks for the heads up though!

George.KaraOk, real talk... if you're on a tight budget, the "Custom CNC Aluminum Keypad" is obviously not for you. If you're looking for a PCB, plate, and 3d-printed case,a CNC-machined aluminum body is a totally different league. You don't go shopping for a city commuter car at an offroad specialist dealer and give them crap for selling a modded Jeep at 6x the price of a Nissan Versa.

Daed touché I know that it's way out of my price range, but I just said that if they're selling it as a DIY kit, I would appreciate the option of just a PCB. Albeit no one would do it.

George.KaraI hear ya. It's way out of my range, too... That's why I bought the Maxi Pad PCB :) http://www.switchtop.com/product/gamepad-macropad-pcbs
I haven't taken the time to design a case and plate for it yet, though. Can't decide if I want to go steel or acrylic. Also, I just got a Monoprice 3D printer, but I haven't even set it up yet... I don't know if I can 3D print a case sturdy enough to feel good. I guess that's why this is a hobby, and not a commodity for me! Time to screw around and figure it out!
