What is the length of the band?
Very decent watch at the price though the MRSP flatters a little.
Will the dial glow up in the dark too?
Are the markers just painted in the dial?
Does anyone know the lug to lug measurement on this?

Generally speaking (IMO, of course), you don't want your watch to overhang your wrist - the watch, including lugs, should sit flat on your wrist without jutting into space. I have fairly skinny wrists, about 6.5 inches or 165mm around. The flat of my wrist, basically the width of my wrist looking straight down where my watch sits, is about 50mm. So I want a watch with a lug to lug of less than that, ideally several mm less, or the watch will look and feel too big for me. I prefer smaller watches in general; a 38mm case is ideal, but that's pretty limiting. I can wear a 40mm case watch like this if it's only 46 or 47 mm lug to lug, but probably not if it's 49mm. It's not really about the strap, although shorter lugs do usually help with strap fitting as well (if you have skinny wrists), because a given strap will wear shorter on a watch with shorter lugs. Hope that helps.

Thanks!!!!! I am in the same size group and appreciate your perspective.
I'm shocked this has not met the drop. This is an amazing company with serious heritage.

I might look into a Revue Thommen Chronograph automatic in the next few months. They are selling on ebay for around $600. That is very cheap for a Swiss automatic chronograph! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Revue-Thommen-Auto-Chrono-Blue-Dial-Stainless-Steel-Bracelet-Watch-16051-6135/322735855732?epid=1653194145&hash=item4b248e5874:g:hVYAAOSw49lZtvKn

Wow that is a beautiful watch! If you double your budget and if I just didn't purchase a speedy I would consider this Newman Panada reminiscent Omega Speedy Automatic. https://mall.elady.com/catalog/product/view/id/71170/
The Rolex Newman sold for $$$$ and the panda dials in my opinion are unique and collectable. The Omega full size Speedy Tuesday panda dials are also very hot right now. (The one I linked to is the smaller automatic version) If you sign up I believe you also get a 7% discount. At least I did when I ordered my speedy last week. ;)
I still can’t find the photo of the display caseback nor much info of this particular model in the internet. ”sigh!”

There's a photo on the drop site of the caseback. It's also sapphire.
That's a really good price for a ETA 2824-2 watch. I love the MSRP on this one... Nice, but a bit too similar to my current watches.
40mm - krippy, the Swiss have differing stipulations for the use of the term 'XL,' than in North America...I looked immediately at the ad as I need larger watches due to ham hands (and wrists).
This looks like a really nice watch. Some more info would be great.
Any photos of the case back?
Lug to lug?
It can be maddening how inconsistent some of these listing are.

I appreciate the effort - I looked around for a bit the other morning and didn't find much out there, myself. No reviews, images, etc.
