bryan.bellYes. While it still has some play, it’s not loose and rattley as the earlier runs. The one I just received is fine. Remember, it’s a metal button over a rubber bulb. So there needs to be some play. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to activate the internal mechanism below. Since it is water resistant, it’s not a direct connection between the metal button (an external element) and the actual switch (an internal element).

glennacThis is the best explaination I've ever seen. My saying was: if the button is too tight, the (internal) switch won't bounce back.

glennacI just got mine today and it has a noisy switch. The version I got one year ago doesn't make rattle.
