Std soft arkansa

Soft is a misnomer what I like about Arkansas is that they don't cup and require fastening like Japanese wet stones.

I love these stones. Purchased the Large Surgical and Translucent as finishing stones to add to my kit. I've owned hard & soft natural stones before, as well as water stones and from the first use I could tell these were really, really great quality. I've had them for nine months now and sit down about once a month in front of the TV sharpening all my kitchen knives as well as my EDCs. I have a few stones that are smaller and I'm really glad I chose the larger versions for just a bit more. Also the leather pouch is plenty thick enough to protect them quite well.
I keep all my sharpening supplies in a dopp bag - files, specialty screwdrivers, diamond/water/hard/soft/ sharpeners/stones, lapping paper, oils and strops. These fit perfectly and are a fine addition to my collection. Absolutely would buy again.
