Here's the breakdown as I see it on this drop:
This drop, assuming lowest price is reached, is: $57.18 total (including shipping within CONUS) for 3 A5 notebooks of any style (lined, dot or blank - does Rhodia even make the webnotebook with grid?). This comes to $19.06/each.
I can't see anywhere else with this combination of selection, price and strong customer service. Yes, you'll have to wait longer than you would probably like to get them, but you can't beat the combo being offered: price, style, color.
These are really great notebooks. If you use fountain pens and are frustrated with Moleskines, these are the way to go. The paper is almost as smooth as Clairefontaine and very ink resistant. Feathering and bleed-through should be kept at a minimum except for really wet writing pens and inks. Because the paper is ink resistant, you'll probably notice longer dry times. Some ink might transfer to the facing page if you close the notebook before it's dry. A simple sheet of copy paper to put between the pages usually works, but makes it look weird.
I think Moleskine sizes their notebooks: Small, Large and Extra-Large. If so, these are slightly (but only slightly) larger than the "Large" Moleskines.
AFAIK: Although Clairefontaine owns Rhodia, I believe the Rhodia paper is made on different machines. Technically, the paper is made by Clairefontaine, but the recipe is from Rhodia.
If you're not sure, you can pick up one of these notebooks on Amazon or any number of online retailers. Price usually runs between $20 - $25/each, sometimes with shipping included, sometimes shipping is extra.
If you don't use pens with inks that bleed or feather (read: you use gel or ballpoint), then these probably aren't the droids you're looking for. There are other notebooks out there that are less expensive and will do a fine job for you.
But these are very fountain-pen friendly.
Hope this helps anyone considering.
Cheers.
