I own one of these. I rarely comment on things but this knife has really impressed me. I have fairly substantial collection of mostly custom knives and used to scoff at the idea of buying a Chinese made knife that cost over $100. I‘m not at the point where I’d spend $500 on a production knife but this knife changed the way I think. The fit and finish on this knife is pretty much flawless. Custom knives are an entirely different breed in that a lot of makers don’t use CNC so it’s not really a comparison but the fit and finish on this knife rivals many customs I’ve owned. I get it doesn’t have the latest greatest steel but properly heat treated 154cm is a workhorse. The knife came to me razor sharp. The milling on the handles is perfect and symmetrical. The lock bar switch thing that locks it open is kind of pointless but I guess it could be useful And it doesn’t get in the way. The G10 feels great and the way it is milled makes it feel like a much higher budget material. I really don’t see how someone would say this is overpriced. The cheaper knives like Kizer in this category don’t have the same level of detail and design that this does. Not bashing Kizer, they also make high quality knives from some of my favorite makers. I think this knife is priced right at around $130 and think anyone would be happy with this knife at that price point.

SupershredderI have nothing against any of the materials used in this knife, but it does still seem a bit on the pricey side at first blush, given the materials.
G10 isn't expensive. Thin titanium scales are more costly than stainless ones, but still cheap compared to full titanium handles 154CM isn't a bad steel, but it's not a SUPER high priced one
That said, if they got rid of the stupid lock thing and knocked $25 off the drop price, it might be more tempting.....but still, it has to stand up to mutiple full Ti and s35vn and m390 blades that drop here in similar price ranges... It's not JUST about standing on its own for its price.
Some of these other offerings are making for some pretty stiff competition around these parts

SupershredderI kind of wish the blade came with a satin finish. The lock does seem pointless.

KavikThis isn’t me being snarky, I’m genuinely interested in your reply and don’t want to come off as a jerk or anything. I’m not that into Chinese made knives in this price range so I don’t have a lot to compare it to. What would you consider to be better knife models in this price range? The things I’m seeing like the Massdrop x Laconico/Terz/FF knives look very nice for around the same price but they don’t have the design elements this has such as the 3D milling. These look nice but they are basic titanium frame locks, this knife offers a little more in the design area in my opinion where it might sacrifice a more premium steel. No doubt there is a lot more wasted titanium to mill a scale and clip like this than a basic countoured titanium knife scale. I also have to admit I prefer liner locks and more variety in materials so the fact that this has a G10 scale actually appeals to me more than if it was all Ti. Just my personal taste though.

SupershredderNo offense taken man 😊
That's just it though, I don't own anything comparable in this price range because I wouldn't spend this much on a knife with g10 scales without some damn good reason.
For a fairly me material comparison, look at the Bestech Rhino; that goes for around $105 retail and about $90 when it drops here. It's another Chinese made knife, with all the same materials except that it has stainless liners instead of titanium. But it also has more cost in the shear volume of the blade steel used. Everything else, piece for piece, is the same material. And I still had a bit of a hard time swallowing the fact that that one is nearly double the price of the other G10 Bestechs in D2 steel. Closer to that price though would be more convincing on this one, for me anyway.
In this price range I've bought the following, to name a few: -3 Kizers in Ti and S35vn (all well below this price) -3 Bestechs in Ti or Ti and carbon fiber with s35vn (all slightly below this price) -WE/MD Falcon in Ti and s35vn (around this price) -WE/MD Gent - G10 over Ti liners and S35vn for (way below this price) -Raidops Blue Shark in Ti and carbon fiber with m390 steel (around this price and better quality steel. Just ordered though, so can't speak to the quality yet) You get the idea, there's a theme to the level of materials at that price, and none of it includes g10/micarta/frn.
Again, nothing against any of those materials except that the price should reflect the difference there.
I agree that much of the lower cost Ti offerings are lacking in 3d milling and general design, but the Bestech stuff has all that in full Ti in this general price range.
And while fancy milling on G10 is nice, and does increase manufacturing costs some... It doesn't increase them THAT much.
Of all those knives the Kizer and WE have been solid quality, but don't "wow" me. The Bestechs however have consistently wowed me in both their Ti and G10 lines (which, aside from the Rhino, come in around $40-50 in D2 steel). I'm feeling like a bit of a Bestech fanboi here, but I really do like to recommend them for all aspects; quality, value, and designs
I'm afraid that's the best I can do. Don't have much else in the way of good 1:1 comparisons or recommendations if you want comparable to this steel and a liner lock with milled scales.
