Personally, not impressed; my old KERSHAW chive is roughly the same size, feels far more substantial, and was razor sharp, right out of the box. This seems a bit like a toy...

jmhuebneBeautifully, artistically milled and anodized titanium, damasteel blade, ceramic bearings and a true flipper with ceramic detent ball..... Compared to a spring assisted 420 blade in a flat stainless steel handle?
If you're not impressed you might be looking at this for the wrong things.
It's not going to be a hard work sort of knife (not that I would say the Chive is either), I don't think anyone is touting it as that, but it's still an impressive feat of engineering and craftsmanship, in my humble opinion

KavikExactly my thoughts. I knew it was small, but it's really small...At the same time, it's VERY impressive as far as materials and construction. It has all the features of a high end knife at a fraction of the cost...but is also a fraction of the knife. That said, it's very well done.

ZiglafIt's a tiny shard of beautiful Damasteel, honestly I didn't think I would appreciate that aspect of it until I actually had mine in hand.
It's a strange, tiny experiment in making a miniscule version of a regular full-sized framelock, a showcasing of Richard Wu's exceptional hand at anodizing and working titanium.
It's also a great way to demonstrate the art object nature of good knives to others that don't quite understand the hobby . It's only a skip and a jump from showing off the workmanship of the Hummingbird to being able to point out the excellent execution of a more plain knife like the Kizers, like the lovely-to-me Velox2, or the Crux.
