Rite in the Rain Field-Flex Kit

The Field Flex Kit includes everything you need to collect notes or capture thoughts on the trail or at the worksite. Invented by entrepreneur and logger J.L. Darling in 1916, Rite in the Rain notebooks contain paper coated with moisture-shielding technology. After almost 100 years of rigorous field testing, they have become the gold standard for engineers, oil drillers, surveyors, military contractors, and other professionals who work outdoors in extreme conditions. Made in Tacoma, Washington using environmentally-friendly methods, Rite in the Rain notebooks are completely recyclable, despite being incredibly durable while in use.

This kit includes a Polydura (Cordura) ® cover, Field Flex notebook, and All-Weather Black Clicker Pen. Originally developed for the US military, Field Flex notebooks are side perfect bound with high-strength glue, and feature Rite in the Rain’s "Universal Pattern” of solid horizontal lines and dashed vertical lines, making a graph-like pattern on the perforated pages. The pen comes filled with a Fisher Space Pen refill containing waterproof ink that was developed for Rite in the Rain to work especially well on their paper and in extreme conditions. For best performance, we recommend writing with the included pen, one of Rite in the Rain’s complementary writing tools, or a No. 2 pencil.
