Right but the digital ones aren't virtual surround, at leat based on roccats web page they dont seem to be, it think its just whether or not u want the controller with the dac

SurfinsamYeah, the USB version still has multiple speakers, but I'd prefer to go with the analog version, as other true surround sound headsets that used USB that I tested (several) all sound tin canny no matter what you did with them and on top of that had interference due to it being powered by the same USB. The analog version still needs USB power, but I think analog sounds better with these surround sound headphones.
