The Roccat Kone EMP is the high-performance successor to the Kone XTD, one of the most popular in the Roccat lineup. It features an Owl-Eye optical sensor (Pixart PMW-3361) that delivers up to 12,000 DPI for high-sensitivity gaming Read More
This mouse is excellent in most respects. The deal-breaker for me is the illuminated strips. These are made from a different plastic than the rest of the body of the mouse. This plastic has a sticky feel. I wish that Roccat would lose the strips, which are strictly for cosmetic appeal and serve no useful purpose. If they must have RGB effects, I would prefer to have the illumination placed where it would not normally come in contact with the user's hand.
Is this a confirmed left-handed mouse? Ifind it strange that there seems to be no mention of it being optimized for lefties in its functions. Not trying to be an asshat btw, I think this would make a great gift for my older brother.
Oh wow. That's crazy. Am I crazy? Lol or does it really really really look like it's shaped for the left hand? Unless there's a rare new breed of homo-sapien that started growing their right hand thumbs on the East side of the hand...ahah
3361 optical sensor (top of the line). Roccat supposedly have some of/the best scroll wheels in the business.
116g may be a bit heavy for some people, and it's also a larger mouse I believe.
Kone Pure Owl-Eye is out this month, smaller and lighter.
It's almost like some companies actually try to improve their products as time goes on, unlike some companies (razer) whose products just get lower in quality every year.
may be one is posting weight without cable and one is posting weight with cable.
In the above scenario, you could estimate 20-30grams of weight on the cable alone.
