I bought this through Massdrop and recieved it. What I got was unattained potential. The buttons don't really help when attempting to apply input to game controls. Two of the buttons are for changing the light color. The main thing that pissed me off though was its horrendous tracking. Randomly teleports your mouse as if you suddenly slid your mouse over instantaneous. I've lost many games, died many times, etc. Due to its awful tracking glitch. Thank you Roccat for this expensive lie.

OrphanoFirst I would try using it with the cord attached to the mouse... I know it's supposed to be wireless, but maybe the 2.4Ghz receiver is getting interference. Use it corded and see if the tracking issues persist. If the mouse still fails to track properly, then there's something physically wrong with the sensor and you can ask MassDrop for a refund. (You have 30 days from the day you received it).
In terms of the buttons, none of them are preconfigured from the factory to change RGB colors. Using the Roccat Swarm software you can customize every single button on the mouse to do what you want.

OrphanoI am having the same issue. I have tried corded vs wireless, Windows vs Linux, different mousing surfaces, etc. but it continues to happen in all of these situations. It seems to jump in the direction of mouse travel by a few inches. It is not repeatable, it just happens randomly. I am very frustrated and have spent weeks trying to diagnose the issue. I finally gave up today and contacted Massdrop support to see what they can do for me - I suggest you do the same.

AemerginI have been using this mouse since it first came out and its the best mouse wireless or wired that I have used. I have not experienced any of the problems you are reporting here. I would suggest making sure that you have the latest firmware and driver updates for the device itself and the swarm software. We have a few of these samples in the office and no negative reports at all. Sorry your having trouble.

AemerginIt seems like the liftoff distance is screwy. The old Roccat Tyon software had a TCU control option that is different in the new Swarm software. Go into Swarm, Advanced Settings tab and play around with the two options under "Distance Control Unit".
Also, like Hutch mentioned, you should have received a warning that the firmware and software are outdated when you ran Swarm for the first time. For me, first it updated the software, then it updated the receiver/charging cradle, and then I had to connect the mouse via cable to update its firmware.
Driver version should be 1.9315, and firmware version should be 1.24. You can see versión numbers on the top left corner inside Swarm (to the right of the blue Roccat logo), or by hitting the configuration icon (small cog) on the top right and then going to the "Update Center" tab.
As a last resort, you can either use the "Reset Settings" button on the Advanced Settings tab, or the "Recovery Tool" that's the last option on the Update Center tab. That will restore the firmware both on the receiver/cradle and the mouse.
Let me know if those suggestions work.

AsymetrikThe software will automatically find it and ask to update when you first run Swarm... for some reason Roccat doesn't offer it as a direct download.
