The "group buy" concept just doesn't seem to be effective for widely available mechanical keyboards. I know this would greatly reduce the selection here, but it would be great if only true group buys were represented, where a real savings or even access to a usually hard-to-find product is offered because of the group buy concept. We are enthusiasts anyway. We know where to find these keyboards and where they are cheapest. Give us the hard-to-find, unusual, quality items that are made possible by our participation.

It seems to be more effective with the niche items, like you state. I assume it’s hard to compete with amazon; better prices and faster shipping. The massdrop Ctrl keyboard drop was amazing...the quality and passion of the massdrop products overall is what keeps me getting in on drops.
I've owned the TKL version of this board for about of year and use it every day at work. Overall, I really like this board. I didn't buy it for the wrist rest but having used it, I'm really glad to have it - it's super comfortable.

I write this message for those who might buy this keyboard for it's programmable keys: there are problems. The reason I picked this board over hundreds of others was because it was supposed to be fully software programmable. I wanted to be able to set up a toggle key that switches between regular typing mode and navigation mode, kind of like VI. So in the navigation mode, my left hand would have Page Up/Page Down/Home/End on the home row, and my right hand would have the arrow keys mapped. There's apparently a bug in the software that prevents the arrow keys from being mapped to that part of the board. I emailed support and they confirmed that it was a bug and that while they don't have immediate plans to fix it, there may be a fix down the line... You know how that usually goes.

Anyway, if you're like me and you want a properly programmable mechanical TKL (that requires no software or drivers to be installed), you'd do better to wait until the Input Club K-Type comes out. Having used their Configurator software on my Ergodox, I can confirm that it works perfectly.

It's not to say that his board is bad, it just doesn't work the way I wanted it to (and the way it probably should have).
Just a note: The wrist rest is not removable as stated in the description. Update: Looks like "removable" has been removed from description, cool :)
As usual, no UK layout.
Cheaper on 'egg, Amazon, and Microcenter. And they didn't "just" drop the price. I was just shopping for this Keyboard last week.
Prices aside, Roccat makes great products. I stand by my Roccat Kone XTD mouse as easily the most comfortable mouse I own and is very durable. Unfortunately I do not own this product, but I would assume the build quality is similar to my mouse so I figured I would share for those who haven't heard of the company before.
umm is this a joke? why is the price of this 10$ more then retail...
Hey everyone, it looks like other retailers have lowered their pricing on the Ryos TKL Pro in response to this drop. That’s awesome for the community and we are always happy to see that. However, it looks like our pricing on the Ryos MK Pro is still very competitive. So we are highlighting that as the main offer.

Sup Elrick.

Shipping cost is all over the place because of the different "tiers" they have set up. For example, rather than saying every kilo you ship is $X they just say the first kilo is $X, then 1.0001 kg up to 1.999 kg is $Y, and so forth. That jump from tier 1 to tier 2 to tier 3 is very rarely linear either. Sometimes it will be double, sometimes it's just a few more dollars. Then on top of that they add costs depending on box dimensions. So even though the Realforce is a pretty heavy board, it's a rather compact box and ships for the lower price. The Roccat has some unique dimensions and results in a big ass box, which the shipper is more than happy to charge for.

I'm not 100% on what the actual numbers are for each of these shipping tiers and have no idea how they decide these costs, but this is how very similar things get wildly different shipping prices on our end. You add just a little weight and double the volume of space it takes up, boom. Welcome to your new much higher ship cost.
"Hi! I'm Elrick, a rude jerk who hides my misanthropy behind 'keeping it real' and 'being honest', mostly because I can't seem to understand that a fair question, asked politely, is vastly more likely to get a reply than a post full of digital confrontation and profanity."

Don't like it here? Leave. You might as well, since you have no need for a nice keyboard when you clearly don't know how to write.
The TKL's are $99 shipped on Newegg right now lol save your money
This is actually a great keyboard that goes for $150 on Amazon. I have the MK Glow, which is this exact keyboard minus the USB and audio passthrough and advanced lighting features. The thumbster keys are super comfortable and the software is some of the best out there. I love the Easy Shift + which lets you press the shift key and turn any key into a macro. Honestly this is a good value at $110, but Amazon does have the MK Glow on sale for $80 if you don't need the additional stuff.
looks terrible
This is a joke right?
