This is over twice the price of the deskmats that are commonly run in the Mech Keys category, but it's smaller, and doesn't have any design on it, so I have to wonder, who is this for? The quality even seems to be the same based on the pictures and description.

famguy07The designs can be annoying for those people who aren't keen on that. Also brand name recognition probably bumps the price a bit.
