I'm thinking of getting some of these for flying (Helicopters), my helmet has hearing protection but the high freq turning noise still penetrates and I'm finding increased hearing issues and occasional tinnitus. I now wear disposable foam earplugs under my helmet but they muffle the coms to a near useless level.
Any comments on how these fare against high frequency noise? Custom fit earplugs don't maintain a seal when I don my helmet, so maybe these would be a good middle ground?
I just looked at their site (which is entirely in chinese, use chrome to auto-translate):
High frequency reduction: 27dB
frequency reduction: 19dB
low frequency reduction: 14dB
perfect self in a moderate noise environment, the ability to want to eliminate unwanted high frequency noise without sacrificing maintain situational awareness. Perfect round
High frequency reduction: 28dB
frequency reduction: 21dB
low frequency reduction: 17dB
for the self-employed in high-noise environments while moderate to want to eliminate unwanted high frequency noise to keep communication skills (500-2000hz). The red filter is for those looking for a tiny step in decaying from our standard green filter.
Here's the website: http://www.elcustom.com/Website/technology/

But I have no idea if this drop has this technology in it, if the "Red" is the "Heavy Metal" etc.
