This jacket fits horribly, the sleeves are too puffy, I look ridiculous in it. The materials and build are OK but the fitting is really bad. Not buying this brand again.
I have an M65 1981. Earned it.
I take it these aren't non-flammable like the real deal?
This would go perfectly with some steel- toed combat boots and a shaved head for those torchlit parades!
Schpanky
skinhead is a working class subculture with roots in antiracism. SHARP and RASH are still very active today. it was infiltrated by fascists specifically to recruit disaffected youths and and has been largely abandoned by them. there are still some boneheads around but i think youll find the clear majority of skinheads these days are openly antiracist
Just got mine today. Nice jacket for the price. I'm a little disappointed to see it was Made in China. The product description led me to believe it was US made.
Still getting used to some items offered. Is there a way to get TALL or LONG sizes?  At 6'1" and a 36" sleeve most regular sized jackets are to short.?     Thanks in advance  for any suggestions. - John

i dont have the lightweight one but im 6'3 and it fits me alright. i have a particularly long torso so its like an inch shorter than id prefer but the sleeves are good for me i have the regular though im not sure if the sleeve length is different
Beware: this jacket does not feature a 'REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT' tag on the left arm zipper pocket. It's a knockoff Alpha industries bomber. If you want that genuine look, though, you can pick up a 'REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT' key-chain on Amazon for about six bucks.
If you want non-knockoff, you can go with good-old Levi's for the same price as MD's + shipping, while getting a better quality, better fitting jacket alongside two-day delivery.

How is this a knock off? Its not like alpha invented the bomber jacket..
The sizing is confusing, this discussion helped some. Please, Massdrop, do a better job with that. I will try to assemble what I learned here to make a best guess at my size.
Feelsbadman. I have 29" arms but I'm skinny AF. Guess I won't be rocking one of these anytime soon.
The sizing confuses me. I'm 6'1 190lbs, what size should I get?

My chest size is about 43 inches. The jacket I wear is XL but the arms run longer than I'd like. But if I get an L, I am worried if it will be too short. The only L size clothes I have are hoodies and sweatshirts, so it's hard compare.
iWhoops
I'd go with a size L here -- however, do keep in mind that the MA-1 Flight Jacket is supposed to fit a bit cropped (and break right at the hip) so you can't expect it to fit long like another standard jacket (a bit longer) as that's not the silhouette/pattern that the MA-1 has.
How does the sizing work for these jackets? I would typically get a large which would be 42-44inches, but this lists it as 281/2 inches. Where's that measurement coming from? I understand that these jackets run quite large

The sizing chart for the chest measurement is just half the circumference of the garment, not your body chest measurement (which for a person size Large is usually 42-44 like you described). I'd take your favorite jacket and measure from armpit to armpit across the body and compare against their size chart to find the right fit.
These run a bit big, but they're also MA-1 flight jackets that are supposed to be just a bit loose, not tight fitting.
I just was in the L-2B drop so I don't need another flight jacket--but I sure as hell want one
