j.w.wimpyI have this bag. Paid $75 for it 2 years ago. The canvas on mine is very thick - its been quite durable. Not water repellent. My only beef is that it doesn't keep its shape at all (needs a better insert on the bottom so it keeps it's shape better.)

RyanSinTXI've tried Campdry and found that it didn't last very long. Maybe there are more durable waterproofing sprays out there.

An old Scandinavian trick: I had a pair of 'greenland jeans' I rubbed beeswax into on some pretty brutal wet/cold treks and it kept me warmer and drier than others' fancy Gore-Tex pants. The technique uses beeswax candles but a hot hair-dryer and a bar of wax is less likely to burn your new Rothco bag.
