I think the issue with this kit is in its "marketing" name and what level of aid it's actually designed to cover. I would be comfortable keeping this handy as a roadside assistance or camping kit (family vacation or road trip). I would NOT use it as a stand alone kit for all contingencies. This is NOT a trauma kit by any definition. With that said, there are comparable kits out there for the same or less costs, but if you are looking to start a kit and really just want something to be on hand for the kids soccer or trips to the playground, this kit could be a good place to start. It's no a bad collection of items. The perception of any shortcomings are because some 26 year old marketing executive with no experience in the real world wanted to make it seem "tacticool" and gave it a trauma moniker.

Since you want to make this same post w/o contributing anything yourself... here are some things in a real trauma kit:
•2x SOF, RAT, or SWAT-T Tourniquet •2x OLAES or Israeli 4" Modular Bandage/dressing •2x OLAES or Israeli 6" Modular Bandage/dressing •1x Trauma/abdominal pad •3x Control Wraps/elastic bandage •2x NPA 28FR w/ Lube •4x Petrolatum Gauze •1x 14GA x 3.25" Cath •2x ZPAK Gauze •2x Moldable Splint •2x Chest seals •1x 7.25" Trauma Shears •1x Roll of Surgical tape •2-5PR Nitrile Gloves
So comparing that to this Rothco kit... It lacks a real tourniquet, no good quality dressing/bandages (this just essentially has guaze pads and ace bandage), no chest seals, no impregnated gauze or hemostatic powder (ala quikclot), no nitrile (or even proper latex gloves)... 'exam gloves' are cheap and useless as they won't stop pathogens. Rest of kit is fluff and is for household boo-boos.

You still have yet to list any helpful information about this kit (pros or cons). I at least answered your question and listed what is in a typical professional quality law enforcement patrol (or maybe small military squad level) trauma kit and how it relates to this product. You are the only one whining about what the kit's name is. If you are not going to positively contribute to the discussions here (ie help people decide whether or not to buy this specific item) please stop trolling the discussion thread.
Also, "lol thanks for playing"? How childish.

As I explained above, these are just exam gloves. You can even see the cheap quality in the photos. These are not thicker latex or nitrile that will actually stop blood borne pathogens. For dressings, yes you can use gauze and ace... but professional level kits have ones that are combined and higher quality such as israeli bandages. In combat or life & death situation would you rather have to spend lil extra time opening two packages or one? Its not much, but its less to keep track of and manage when under stress. Plus ones like israeli or olaes bandages have thicker pads that can absorb more where as you might have to use several pads or stuff a wound with gauze to get same bleed control. And yes, this kit has no chest seals for sucking chest wounds.

warchyld67olaes, tournaqets, npas etc are not listed on the whats included page. you seem to be some sort of rothco troll since all you have done is put down other people that have concerns about the kit and seem to be shilling for them pretty hard. if its true all of this is included then it should be listed on the page.

Pryor0nFireIt's pretty close to being a viable field trauma kit. Agreed there's some fluff there and some glaring omissions. Still a great deal and $50 will make it great. Regarding that latex tourniquet...not to be confused with laxtex IV tourniquet. This appears to similar, if not, identical to a SWAT-T. They work great. A CAT is preferable IMO, but I'll take it.
BTW...sorry you had to deal with this sad troll, war CHILD.

NealPvery few are..this one would be the same as any other..a start.. me id add everything it didnt have that i would want included... some of the ones that are more " trauma" are almost cost prohibitive for many. better to get a base and then add to it.
