I don't know if this has been asked before but... Is this the German version or the Japanese version?
(The ones made in Japan only has 600 printed on the barrel, and from what I know the inside mechanism isn't all metal compared to the German model)

JonasHeinemanGreat! Thank you. I've been looking around to get this metal version for years!
By the way, do you mind showing a photo of the inner mechanism?

mimitotoI have a 600 that I bought through Amazon some time ago. I don't know about german or japanese but it has the full 'rOtring 600' label on the side. I don't have the pencil at hand but if I recall correctly, the interior isn't 100% metal though it's close. The actual mechanism that holds the lead is all metal (brass I think) but the tube itself is plastic (though it's in a metal sheath), and the threaded part that joins to the body is plastic.

mimitotoI have a 600 0.5mm. It only says "0.5" on the body in red. I bought it from jetpens, an online store that carries all kinds of Japanese writing products. The clip has "rotring" embossed on it. I think the Japanese model has "0.5" whereas "0,5" is European.
