WoodLab KevinI noticed your post higher up with pictures of the new glue and just wanted to give you a heads up that you're using too much. That gorilla glue expands a bit as it cures, which is why it's bubbled up from around the brass mounts in your pics here-
Like I said in the post you linked, a small amount is all you need. A little goes a long way with this stuff.
