Given the delays on the infinity drop, I didn't get a chance to try these out until today, when my ergodox from ebay showed up. These are horrible; my wrists were irritated when using these. after only a few minutes. The wood is rough, it was sanded diagonally to the grain, the sanding left grooves in the wood, all of the edges are sharp, there was a chip missing on one wrist wrest, the two halves were cut from different pieces of wood, and the stain was just slapped on. I also didn't like the color of the stain, but the pictures here were accurate on the color so that is on me I guess.
The attached pics show the grooves from where it was sanded, the second pic makes it more obvious once some of the stain had been sanded off during re-finishing. The third shows how sharp the edges are. The fourth is what I ended up with at the end of the day (still not finished, need to cure the varnish and then do a rub polish, so they are still a little rough.)
