Yaderb11The Kailh switches are the same ones in the Magicforce boards, which I own. The Kailh blues are pretty decent. I'm not sure I could pass a "blindfold test" versus the Cherry keys. Are they going to last as long, are they exactly the same? Maybe not. I would argue, probably not. This is a very specific hobby with very specific preferences, but as far as I'm concerned, for boards like this, the Kailh switches are great. It's probably not going to be your main board, right? So go for it! (Maybe I'm just justifying it to myself, though, to be honest!)
clickstopsI have owned several boards currently using a black widow, I had several Corsair boards and ducky as well. I might give this a shot, I do have limited room but to be honest this has a nicer look than my current at a fraction of the price besides it not having software which I do enjoy my peripherals having as you can choose individual key colors rather easily. Thanks for the input btw.
LilithcakeI think the naming changes but the feel is about the same. Razer claims to be making their own switches now, do I belive them? Well no they do say that though.
Yaderb11Razer use many manufacturers for their switches. It could be Kailh, it could be Greetech. Razer has their own molds so they can go anywhere they like.
LilithcakeRazer switches have SLIGHTLY less travel than genuine Cherry switches.
> It is true that Kailh (Kaihua Electronics) is one of the manufacturers of the Razer Green switch, but Razer has them made to its own specifications. That is to say, they are not identical to any Kailh switch. The Razer Green switches even run on different production lines than Kailh switches. Further, Kailh is not the only manufacturer to produce the Razer Green switch. Razer will not divulge who any other manufacturing partners are, but Kaihua Electronics is not the sole supplier.
