Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. Also your key legends are so slim looking and the shine through on the Description pictures are thicker so to speak.
I'd contact them ASAP I hope mine is not like this.
On a positive note, this version feels less scratchy than the last. It is pretty damn close to my to as smooth as my HHKB.
I'm just hoping that this gets sorted out. This version does not appear to be moddable to a removable cord, so the red on the cord would look terrible with my Carbon SA.
They include a software disk in the box that has the programming software as well as a manual in English. The software is also a more recent version than RK has on their website. While independent key color programming is great, the color selection still sucks. The color you choose still often doesn't match the color the board produces. Luckily I saved all my color profile files so I don't have retinker with colors.
While the cord isn't the right color, the sleeving feels nice and looks a lot better than the cord on the Gen 1.
