Same here, I wanted black case with brown switches.
Just had a read on their previous product. RK928 seemed to also be a mechanical keyboard although I am not sure what switch it uses. One thread posted that the contact point is using copper, which will oxide after some time and loses contact unless it's cleaned. Cherry MX is using plated gold and therefore does not have the problem. Will the switch that they are using having the same problem too? Update: It seems like Greetech switch is having that problem. Some reported that they sent the keyboard back for repair and all their keys are switched to Kaith. as long as it's using Kaith i believe it should be safe Source: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/4302151859
Is this keyboard anti-ghosting??
Picture shows Greetech switches text says Kailh?
Will cherry mx keycaps fit these switches?
Carlo6926
Yes.
How long would it take to ship to the United Kingdom (Britain).....
Interesting. RG's own page on 928/987 says they use Greetech switches. OTOH, these are probably 2nd gen 928/987 as 928 was RK's launch product. It's certainly possible they switched from Greetech to Kailh switches in the meantime.
I really want to get this keyboard but I'm kind of sceptic because of the shipping. I live in the netherlands and I dont know how long it's going to take the keyboard to get here. Can somebody that has more expirience with the shipping please tell me how it works?
Generally takes 1.5 to 3 weeks depending on several factors....
We would like to update the group that the expected shipping date has been changed from March 15th to April 8th due to production delays. However, we were able to work with our vendor and provide more options to the group for this drop.
If you would like to change or cancel your order, please go to your transactions tab and click on edit to change your order. Please make sure to finalize your order by February 28th, 2016. Thanks for using Massdrop!

is there any way to get it earlier
Hey everyone, spoke to the vendor and they have asked we push back the ship date. I have changed the dates to reflect this.
To compensate, they have offered some additional options that weren't avilable before.
Is there any option of there being a future firmware update with full RBG (rather than just 7-color) mode? Seems like the hardware's there, just not the firmware.
JadElClemens
No mention of such on RK's Chinese website. Review in 2016 shows that this was first gen RGB and thus probably NOT updated ever.
Although one of the photos is of a black TKL, this does not appear to be an option on the purchasing page.
The major aspect that this keyboard seems to lack is more RGB capabilities. It is said that the keyboard only has a rainbow marquee and pre-selected colors, with the option of "breathing" mode. It is really dissappointing that the keyboard's RGB lights aren't fulfilling their full potential; after all, they are RGB lights, which do support nearly 16 million distinct colors. I'd really be more interested in the keyboard if there was more customizability to the backlighting, and the use of TRUE RGB lights.
Kailh switches instead of Greetech this time around.
Can someone describe the difference in feel between the two?
I have a DAS 4C with Greetech Browns. While I find them very smooth, I prefer a bit more of a tactile bump.
I find that Cherry MX Browns more satisfactory in this regard. And Gateron Browns are even better to me, with a more distinct tactile bump, and higher actuation point, which allows me to type very quickly and accurately.
So I'm wondering how the Kailh Browns stack up.
The Blues are a different matter, where the Greetechs are just fantastic, and the Cherry MX Blues are at the bottom for their gritty, sandy, inconsistent key stroke. No experience with the Gateron or Kailh Blues, though.
I got two of these keyboards previously as gifts for my brothers. One white, one black. They are a fantastic deal. The RGB LED lighting is rich and satisfying, and looks great, especially on the white keyboard.
Yep, would love to see more ISO keyboards. I would definitely get this drop if I had that option.
I would LOVE it if we could ever get some ISO or ISO NORDIC layouts, everything is always ANSI and... It's annoying.

What do you mean? Im in the same situation as iluvBread but all these mechanical keyboards are ansi and here in Europe we use mainly ISO.
theOrtherion
Eurkey is a layout designed for people who need ISO layout specific characters but have ANSI boards
Basically the US ANSI layout with an alt layer that allows you to use âüø and so on
RG987 is not available in black? Come on guys... mechanical keyboards has a black one for $80. Thought this was going to be a great offer but apparently not.
I've had mine for a bit. Over all it works quite well as far as typing. You will notice the keys do have a bit of wobble or movement, but hasn't cause any issues. The LEDs though, several of mine don't light up properly. The only way that all LEDs consistently light up appropriately are when it is in red only mode. Any other lighting mode, some keys are are the wrong color, flickers, or the LED doesn't light at all. This started on the day after I got the keyboard.
bulletbeast
it's frustrating isn't it?
Now 3 are not working correctly. Ugh.
So far I love this keyboard. I got the brown switches and I like it way more than my other two (admittedly relatively cheap) mechanical keyboards. I get finger pain on short-travel keyboards like laptop keyboards and those aluminum Apple ones, and this has a great feel to me. I can easily type fast without slamming the keys into the base. If you're looking for a mechanical for similar reasons, I HIGHLY recommend you grab this one in brown switches next time it drops.
