The description says Cherry MX but the picture of the switches shows them as Kailh. Can we get clarification on the exact switches on this model?

manirelli1The description is a little mixed up, as there are a couple... versions of this product. I'm going off rkgaming.com (official Chinese website). S108 comes in 3 editions:
1) The original "mixed light" (aka Rainbow light, with each key gets one LED, but different rows get different colors) S108, which is Kailh switch.
2) The new "White with icy-blue backlight Cherry switch" edition (launched 2016) and its cousin
3) "black with yellow/gold backlight Cherry switch" edition (launched 2016).
I am GUESSING that they are dropping the Cherry editions on us, but they kept the pictures from the old Kailh edition. Yanbo, confirmation please!

These were some leftover special original edition from RK. These will ship with Cherry MX Blues.

kschangSeems like we need some clarification from RK and/or MD. I know I'd be pretty annoyed if I ordered thinking they were legit Cherry switches and they ended up being something else.

coderobotNot quite, the white keyboard will also have the rainbow LEDs. When in doubt, always go with the checkout option.

How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?

I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".
