I'm not unhappy that I bought this, but the material is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thin. It's like a fancy wool sheet. Had I realized this ahead of time, I wouldn't have joined the drop.
iveneverlikedusernamesim interested but worried that it wont last. i intend to put this over my sofa and so it has to tolerate some abuse. how thin is thin may i ask?
Too expensive. OK, it is very oversized and made out of a good material, made skillfuly in Scotland (the brand is very good and makes scarfs for many other brands), but it is the very end of season and price could be really better.
Anyone have any experience with these? I'm interested but hesitant to jump into a drop with zero prior reviews and a manufacturer with no website and only found via Google on sites like Massdrop, Amazon, and Gilt.
mattharms I own two of these blankets, one a lambswool, and one of these extra fine merino ones. Both are fantastic and I would highly recommend.
The lambswool one is used heavily and is coming up on a year in july. Quality is still there and no real pilling has developed.
The Merino one I got as a gift for a friend. They use it daily and have not had any complaints. It still looks new every time I've seen it.
The merino is much softer than the lambswool, though I've found the pattern selection is a bit limited.
If you're looking for something with a lot of color, the lambswool ones come up from time to time and have some nice check patterns (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/44188)
