Ergonomic, 4-Pocket Dog Pack
Lightweight and easy to load, Ruffwear’s Approach Pack is both comfortable for canines and handy for humans. This saddlebag-style pack features a weight-forward design and the company’s proprietary Web Master Harness frame, both of which ensure the load is stable and distributed evenly. In addition to two pockets, the Approach Pack offers external loops to secure extra gear.

It’s also equipped with a padded handle that allows you to assist your pup over obstacles, plus a V-ring for quick, secure leash attachment. For low-light conditions, the pack is fitted with reflective trim. Appropriate for dogs large, medium, and small, the Approach Pack should be loaded with no more than 25 percent of your dog’s body weight. For dogs that haven’t carried packs before, consider starting light and working up to a heavier load over time.
Palisades Pack
The Palisades Pack features many of the same design elements as the Approach, including the Web Master Harness, padded assistance handle, V-ring, and reflective trim. But it also features a few upgrades. For one, it comes with the addition of four pockets, for a total of six. The saddlebags are also removable, which comes in handy for rest stops and water crossings. And the Palisades Pack comes with two 1-liter hydration bags, which are collapsible and BPA-free.
