So it seems not too many follow ups to this. As a Canadian with no other avenues to purchase - I have to say the priced sucked - and I still think I got a bargain.
That said, shucks do I absolutely love this blanket. It was intended for bugging out and excursions, its soo comfy it is now on my bed. Yes it slides around, but I got the one that fits a queen mattress - the twin? Probably too bulky to bring camping, and not sure I want it any smaller. If you want something pretty warm, I mean I use it with the window open all night and dont wake up cold - wrapped only in that, you will be pleasantly surprised. If you're using it for mission critical warmth and size (not weight) you may want to pay more for something fancier that packs smaller. I think it is already incredibly light weight, and I really love the slick sheeny feel. My cat doesn't seem to mind, and has yet to claw it... groovy. If you are on the fence for this in the future and you DO NOT need something that packs smaller. DO IT.
Now I just need a new mattress.

MkbnaturalI'm Canadian as well and to add even more to the cost Canada Post wanted $35 for brokerage fees and tax. I noticed this too easily slips off the bed too but solved the problem with clips that clip onto the sheets. Just washed it for the first time and it came out fine.
