I want to order a couple of these. The Ocean color looks like a beautiful hunter green in the photos here, and looks like navy on Rustico's site. Which is it? A lot of the comments from earlier drops indicate that Ocean doesn't look like the color they thought it would be. Also, is the middle one in the photo with three pouches the Saddle or Dark Brown? Sure wish the individual photos identified the colors.

Received mine in Black a fee weeks ago. YKK zippers, well stitched and look great in the brass finish. The leather is of excellent quality and the fit and finish is first rate, will defiantly last the duration with you. A very nice, hand-made product that has the character and distinction you look for when purchasing fine, hand-made leather goods. On a side note, the Highline was delivered in a heavy, well crafted canvas bag that has become very useful for my excess shoe polishing gear. A very nice touch that was unexpected.
Received mine last week. It‘s a great size for all my pens, iPhone cords and earbuds, and fits nicely in my briefcase. My only complaint is that the leather has an imperfection (wrinkle) banding the middle of the pouch. Great quality stitching and hardware.

I would love to order more than one but the shipping doubles when adding a second order. I seriously doubt FedEx works like that. Oh well, $30 to spend somewhere else.
Arrived! The "Ocean" color is gorgeous. The unlined interior smells great. This would have been worth the wait and the $35 if the maker had put a little more care in the construction of the bag itself. OK I guess!

It would be cool to have the Highline 3 as a drop option, I could use that for travelling.

Massdrop, do u have a clue that people pick colourways base on the overall look instead of a spy on a tiny piece of leather which weren't even clear enough to tell what's the letter on it? Every time u are giving a bunch of poorly made pictures for what ever the drop is. It is not unacceptable for several tech gadgets such as monitors or a PCB board which appearance is not the first priority. And now, having a fine made handsewn leather pouch which colour pattern really affect it's perception, you are giving 6 pieces of thumb size clourway cards... Is it like all of your webpage designers came from Pantone? Now I have to go to Rustico's website and discovered they have a full gallery of every single colourways. Meanwhile, I found sth. interesting, those Pantone card's size colour illustration looks so similar to what Rustico has for the button of colour choice. What Rustico has as a BUTTON for simple click had become the official illustration of colourways throughout the entire webpage. Are you serious, Massdrop? Not to mention that "Dark Brown" is not the colour showed on your colour-button at all, thanks god I went through discussions from previous buyers. FYI, your shipping choice sucks. Sth. delivered in half an year which is not bespoke is unacceptable.

Received my pouch yesterday, looks great. Too bad I had to pay 26€ taxes and handling fees because of shipping to Europe. Though it is expensive I am still happy with it. Massdrop should set up a European branch to avoid high import taxes and shipping costs!
Well, I am batting 0-2 with Rustico. I bought the Rustico Highline II and they were too big, more like dop kits than pen pouches. So I got this one, the "smaller" one, and they are still way bigger than I anticipated. Think I am done with Rustico, given the lonnnng wait times. But the size issue, that's on me for not closely noting the measurements they supplied.
All of the orders have been shipped and are now on the way to you! Once tracking is available, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Please allow 24-48 hours for this information to update in the courier’s system.

Massdrop ssles & marketing team, l was introduced to massdrop by ashland leather. Need clarification, when you mentioned the ocean pouch shown is not available on this massdrop. Do you imply the shade/color leather as not available or the final shape and look of the pouch shipped is not identical as shown. Similar is not the same as indentical with exception to sade of leather.

They don't have that colour this time. The shape is the same for each colour.
Hi, I am new to Massdrop and was wondering if someone could tell me if there is a link or checkbox or something to click on to ask questions about each product? Or that what this comment section substitutes for? If so does anyone know the exact colour of the brown coloured pouch in the middle of the three pouches in the picture below? There are many colours but I pasted the 3 I think are most likely. It is just hard to tell due to the lighting, shine on leather and the fact they are closeups and not of an actual pencil case which would have been much more helpful so as to remove all doubt and then I would not have to ask. Please help as this is a christmas present for my 10 year old niece. Thank you to anyone in advance if they can help. P.S. If you are just guessing please don't answer.

Got mine today. This pouch is very, very large. Think of four and a half dozens of Ticonderoga in one hand. It's that large.
@Hmmmmm Mine doesn't have any polymerlike odor.

Very, very large ? Sorry, not being impolite. How very large is large. Did the pouch received exceeded in its dimensions as shown in its product specifications. If the claim is true, chances are the wrong model has been shipped indeed. Did you raise hell with massdrop .... or they responded ...... ?

edit: ok now the odour is gone. its smells normal now. :)
Read the description carefully fellows. It is big and the shape of this pouch is quite different from the photos.
Of course, it has to go through DHL! :)

The problem was using a sub-par "shipper" when customers has ALREADY paid a decent price for shipping originally. This made a drop where I saved roughly ~20% from Rustico (who is an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE vendor. Extremely high quality leatherwork, unmatched by any other vendor I've used in the past...), but at the high cost of not returns AND having to wait MONTHS for the drop. Then to find that since Massdrop opted to ship with DHL...A very poor shipper here in the states. ThaFrom Rustico in the Western US, all the way to the MD East coast warehouse, then back (now via DHL) for a 3/4 trip across the US from Massdrop was going to take DHL a beyond unreasonable 10+ business days. So Massdrop screwed me over entirely just to save a few bucks.
Months for a drop to complete, then to use the cheapest vendor possible to save a few pennies. When I reached out to them to discuss my concerns, I was blown off like it wasn't a big deal. They used the cop-outs that it was "policy" (interesting, NONE of the 30 or so other drops I've purchased took anywhere near the 10+ DHL laugh days to reach me previously before). Leaving this ultimately unresolved, plus another unrelated issue with their once-incredible referral program (the first was great, the second was again, months late, in a reused, repackaged ABSOLUTELY HASHED previous customers return box (needlessly leaking HIS personal information to me), containing a couple old, cheap, and more meant for the dumpster than as a 2nd tier "reward" for something like 15/20 purchasing personal referrals, I've virtually stopped using Massdrop all together now. I no longer refer people to this company. Coming from bending over backwards to bring people onboard with this unique business model, to seldom even visiting the site, MASSDROP HAS EARNED THIS.
Hope that clears things up a little more for you. While I somewhat agree with your take on what you apparently understood this to mean with post shipment logistics/delays, it actually came down to MD using the low-end shipper, and literally choosing to use the cheapest method physically possible, even with the customer specifically paying for shipping, this all at the cost of their customer(s). Then senselessly trying to blame "policy."

Your post certainly brings back bitter memories for me.
In October of last year, I joined a drop for the Italix Parsons Essential fountain pen. Mid-October. My package was delivered on DECEMBER 15. Now, the pen was coming from the UK. It did have a custom-ground nib. I get all that. Still, the infomercial-esque delivery time was unacceptable. As in your case, they used DHL. I live about 60 miles from the MD warehouse--I asked if I could drive and pick my pen up. No dice. So I was forced to watch DHL's "tracking" (what a joke) while they took 10 days to go 60 miles.
God I was frustrated. I must have posted a dozen times on that drop's discussion page, got lots of responses from the community--not a peep from MD. I reached out to their customer service team. Ineffectual responses--almost to the point of being rude. "We acknowledge there was a minor delay." I wanted to strangle them through my computer.
I do like this business and its model. I haven't referred anyone yet, mostly because i think of it as my little secret. And yes, I've purchased several things after my unfortunate experience. In most cases, the deals are good. Likewise, in most cases, shipping is faster than they promise. And fortunately, they've stopped using DHL altogether--thank GOD for that. Now, most packages are shipped via FedEx Smartpost--a MUCH more reliable service.
I guess I'm going to stay optimistic, for now. But I feel your pain.
