Seems to me there was a very spirited discussion regarding this or similar titanium knife with a carbidized cutting surface. The concern was whether general use and/or sharpening would wear through the cutting surface over time and reveal the plain titanium, which is tough but not wear resistant. The maker gave his opinion as to why this would work...can the admin resurrect the prioir thread regarding this issue? It would be helpful to those who are considering the product for purchase. I feel that saving a few grams in weight would not necessitate the price jump from a typical well known steel (154 CM, S30V, S35VN, D2, 440 C or similar) to titanium in this case...but that is just my opinion.
