Pockets. Anyone else having serious issues with their pockets? I mean, it's literally painful to put my hand in and take it out of the pocket. If I had my hand actually in my pocket and sat down, then tried to take my hand out I'd be likely to actually rip my hand off. Any way to break in the pockets? I'm wondering if I can stretch them out or something. I have not done any soaks or anything and wasn't planning on it. I usually just do a full dry wear for about 1.5 years, then get a new pair of pants.... No washes.

Mine arrived a couple days ago. The fit is what I expected from the measurements apart from being bizarrely loose in the hips. Like, I've never seen a man who could fill these out. I did a 45 minute cold water soak, and the waist is snug now. If I put them in hot water I won't be able to wear them. I don't think I'll be ordering clothing from Massdrop again. I'm surprised I didn't see anything about the fit of these jeans being so weird when I searched for more info about them.

Waiting for my 21oz to ship today and also grabbing these. Will see which ones I like better, then might sell the other pair.

Agreed on the pocket holes, they do seem to be sloooowly relaxing.

ryan92084Patch fell completely off already. I think the natural vegi tan leather is nice, but the thickness is a bit overkill. It's basically like having a brick sewn to the back of the pants. I think I'll leave it off. Other than that, great so far. Fit perfectly.

What's the expected inseam shrink after soak? I would guess these would end up around 30.5-31.5"

BBJonesFrom the Sage guys: "They will shrink up to 1.5" maximum on the inseam if you soak them with warm water in long duration." That means not much shrinkage is expected length-wise (inseam), specially if you don't soak them very long.

They are unsanforized and yet come with only 34" inseam only. I have already ordered their 21oz jeans from massdrop. I would order this 23oz style if they were at least 35"-36" long because inseam will reduced by 1-1.5" after the first one or two washes.

Hmm I feel kinda unworthy of wearing something hailed as "Ironchef". Probably if it were called "Midnightchef" instead XD

how much different would this be than the Ranger IV-X? Similar style/fit/etc, just slightly thicker/heavier denim?

SetantaSage fits are virtually the same (there's two fits available here) -- however the fabric is completely different and unsanforized which affects how you'd go about choosing your size. Please refer to the description for more information.

Oh, come on--these can't be jeans?! They're not tight enough to reduce your sperm count.
and they don't even come with factory installed rips and tears!
