My Salewa Goretex Alp-Trainer (boots) are outstanding fit, form, and function for winter to summer backpacking from desert to alpine. I don't have foot wetness or breathability issues at all. The Goretex has been helpful for low water crossings. Overall I'd give the nod to non-Gortex however, especially in a low top shoe.

Could you give me the length of the insoles of the US size 10's please, I find this the best way to select if I can't try the shoe on. Thanks, David.

Bummed that you sold out of Men's 12 in all Black. Was going to join but that yellow is just too bold for this old guy.

Does anyone know how much is the (hill to toe) drop of this shoe? Is it more like 10mm or is it rather flat?

I'm in the U.S...... why is this showing 2 sizes? There's no explanation on which size is which. I wear size 11 U.S. would I get the 11/10? or the 12/11? I don't understand this at all.

TheRequiem @TheRequiem Sorry for the confusion. The sizes shown in the drop down bucket when you join the drop is listed as the US size first, then the UK size. So for your instance, you would choose the 11/10.
Going forward with Salewa, we have made the decision to ONLY show the US sizing to avoid this sort of confusion

RioKDo you guys only get one of each size with each drop? I've tried to jump on this drop before, but you are always out of the US 12. It's a bit frustrating.

MotorradYes, I am on the fence also. A GTX approach shoe/hiker is just trying to cover too many bases. Perhaps it is designed for climbers who just have to walk through wet grass to get to their crag...
I'd consider a non-GTX firetail. I have the salewa gtx Alp-trainer for winter - they make solid shoes and boots.

yeah I have enough shoes I would use in the moist and these aren't them. I have had gtex shoes that I actually put holes into so they would breathe better. heh
