Any update on when a similar drop can be done?
Canceling and refunding was the right move given the circumstances— Definitely keep us in the loop about a follow-up with this card or a similar spec card!

Is it normal for the drop to say shipped even though it is cancelled?
Sorry about that everyone, I'm pretty bummed about this one. Great deals on memory cards are fairly hard to come by, so it was exciting to have a vendor with excellent pricing direct from the manufacturer.

The positive side is that the drop was very well received, and I've flagged it as a priority to our team. We will definitely be actively looking for other possible drops on similar products.
Will the drop be retried when the cards become available again?
I'd imagine they would reevaluate the market at that time and look for the best card and best deal.

As elimelendez said, things change fast in the world of solid state memory.

As if I needed more reasons to hate Samsung.
We've had several calls with our representative throughout the day and have unfortunate news to share with the group.

Right when our vendor was about to dispatch our order for shipment, they were notified by Samsung last minute of an active recall for this specific batch of cards due to a material defect. They are currently working on returning the units to Samsung as we speak.

Based on the latest ETA from Samsung, we were told the replacements will likely be ready to ship in two months. Upon hearing this news, we spent the rest of the day contacting our other vendors and distributors to try our best to allocate units and ship out orders for the group. Unfortunately, due to widespread unavailability no one was able to accommodate an order of this size. We also looked at alternatives to offer the group, but weren’t able to meet the standard of the Samsung card.

Due to this we will unfortunately be canceling the drop and issuing all group members full refunds for their orders. Refunds will be applied to your payment method within 1-3 business days. This was a difficult decision to make as we could have waited for the shipment to arrive two months from now, but due to how quickly things change in the memory landscape we felt the community would be better served with full refunds.

An update for the group, our vendor is having issues getting the order cleared from manufacturing. We are working with them to see what the best option is for getting this resolved. We should have more information about these by tomorrow afternoon. Once we receive the updated estimates we will share our findings with the group.

An update for the group, the vendor is currently awaiting their allocation of units. This is due to the large nature of the order as a freight shipment had to be arranged. They are anticipating the arrival of the container with the Samsung 64GB PRO Class 10 Micro SDXC 90MB/s at their warehouse soon. They have reached out to their freight provider and are awaiting an updated estimated date of arrival.

Once the shipment arrives at their warehouse they will work to pack the community's bulk order to ship to our warehouse. Our goal is to try and get these shipped out to you as soon as we can. We will make sure to update the group once this happens.

Quick update for the group. We are in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse.
