If they're still selling belts on their website--the same belts that we've placed orders for, then why are they unable to fill our orders on time?

KTO1I've been wondering this. The belts are available and they knew the maximum number of each available in the drop, so why wouldn't they be ready to ship immediately after the drop ended? These aren't custom orders.

jon_hI can't speak for S&P since I'm not working on this drop, but generally speaking companies have separate quantities of items available for wholesale accounts and for their own distribution channel, and I assume that's the case here. That said, I understand where you're coming from and I know that our logistics team is working hard to make sure that everything is fulfilled quickly.
jon_hWe do not have separate quantities available for wholesale/our own site. All the orders come from the same inventory pool. On the belts, we are short on a few color/hardware/size combinations. If you were to place an order on our website for one of those combinations, you'd get an email from us explaining that the belt is out of stock. We have several open orders through our website where this is the case. These Massdrop orders will be the first orders to be filled once the belts are in stock.
As far as your other question "The belts are available and they knew the maximum number of each available in the drop, so why wouldn't they be ready to ship immediately after the drop ended?" - When we launched this drop, we had about 120 units in stock reserved for Massdrop. The drop originally sold out most colors very quickly, but there were errors in the photos/descriptions of the colors posted and so the drop was then taken down and relaunched. Before the drop was relaunched, to be able to offer this value on our belts to more Massdrop members, we agreed with the Massdrop team to offer more belts than the original 120 units we had in stock, but with the stipulation that those belts would be made to order, and would take a little time to make. That is why the first 120 units shipped out immediately after the drop and we have yet to fulfill the remaining orders. Granted, it has taken us about 2 weeks longer to make these extra belts than we planned, and we take full responsibility for the delay. We were overly optimistic in our delivery estimate to Massdrop and that is 100% on us.
To everyone waiting on your belt - I do understand your frustration and apologize for the delay. We are doing everything we can to get the remaining belt orders filled as quickly as possible. We are in the home stretch here and we'll be fulfilling them very soon.
