This is so cool. I love leather jackets. I have bought tons of leather jackets over the past decade. Even a friend of mine is running an online store USA Leather Jackets. Kindly visit his store and get yourselves some amazing leather outerwear.

I'm extremely disappointed with Satchel & Page's workmanship. I though these were supposed to be premium jackets with impeccable quality all around. While materials are top-notch, using glue to attach lining to the pockets is complete rubbish. The lining in both side pockets is peeling away because the glue is bad quality or applied incorrectly. A quality apparel would have the pocket lining sowed in, not glued in, so Satchel and Page have failed hugely in this respect. I put my hands into the side pockets, I immediately feel the glue on my fingers, not to mention peeling lining. And that for $500 and 4-5 month wait?
AnzialAnzial - Daniel from Satchel & Page here... Sorry to hear about this.
All the linings are sewn into the pockets. We also use glue to reinforce on the Bomber to make sure the lining and layers of leather are stable when sewn so the sewing line is straight on the outside of the pockets. The glue is also used so the lining material lies flat and there aren't bumps in between the double stitching on the pocket. That's the standard construction process for pockets like the ones on our Bomber. When constructed correctly, the lining is secured by the thread, and you can't feel any glue from the other side of the stitch. The jackets are handmade. There is 1 cutter and 2 craftsman that make each jacket. There are over 200 steps in the process. Your jacket was literally one of the first 5 Bombers made (so we could get the jackets to Massdrop customers first), and I'm sorry to say that it sounds like we messed up the step of sewing the lining to the pocket. Probably the sewing line on top of the leather missed the lining material when being stitched. When doing our quality inspection, we missed it.
I'm sorry you had to wait so long for your jacket. As you mentioned, we used top-notch materials in these jackets. The shearling wool we sourced from Spain was a special grade and we were about a month delayed in receiving it. On the calf leather we use, we were competing for limited supply of calf with some major brands that are much bigger than us. It would have been cheaper, quicker, and easier for us to source lamb, but we felt the calf was worth the extra wait.
This was our first production run of making jackets. We've gotten great feedback so far. For less than $500 with the calf leather and shearling we are using, most people feel they got a steal. I'm very sorry there was an error in 1 step of construction with your's. But we will make it right for you and either fix your jacket or send you another jacket (and cover any related shipping costs). Can you please email me at info@satchel-page.com so we can take care of this for you? If anyone else from this drop has any issues, we will also take care of you as we guarantee the quality of these jackets.

SatchelandPageThank for the detailed explanation. However, I've already taken care of this with MD and sent it back for a refund. I do appreciate your offer of support, however, and glad to hear that you are ready to stand by your products.

Are all the Bomber jackets shipped? I didn't get any tracking or notification number... (in Canada) Thanks
Quick update for the group. We spoke to the vendor and they notified us that the racer jacket is scheduled to ship tomorrow. We will upload tracking as soon as they confirm that your orders are on the way.
The bomber jackets are nearly complete and the vendor is still waiting on a final date and should have something for us early next week.
We will update the group as soon as the orders are on the way.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 3/30 or sooner if something comes up.
Nope they were able to get the bomber and it did ship!

HassanSExcellent! Thanks for the confirmation
Another update for the group. I talked to the vendor earlier today and have an updated time table and explanation for the group.
"The ship date will be 3/28. We had more delays in getting materials but the leather jackets are now in production".
For more info: http://www.satchel-page.com/blogs/jacket-production/17145277-production-plan
I will be remaining in contact with the vendor and update you all closer to the expected ship date. Again these will be shipping directly from the vendor so transit time from them to you will be minimal.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 3/25 or sooner if something comes up.
Quick update for the group. I just talked to Satchel and Page and it looks like there are some delays that have recently come up.
Due to some difficulty in getting necessary materials estimated completion for these has been moved towards mid-March.
We are working with the vendor and will do everything we can to see if the completion can be moved closer to the estimated ship date in the drop description page.
We understand this delay is rather undesirable. If you prefer not to wait for the jacket and want to have your order cancelled, you can go into your transaction page and click the support button next to this order. We will make sure that you are taken care of ASAP!
Expect another update from us on 3/4 or sooner if something comes up.

HassanSUpdate?
Quick update for the group. We are in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse. We will update the group as soon as these are on the way.
Currently we expect that these will be in our warehouse inline with the expected ship date listed in the drop description page.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 2/16 or sooner if something comes up.

We placed the order for The Satchel & Page Leather Jackets shortly after the drop ended.
Our vendor will be preparing it for shipment.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you all with updated information.
Expect an update from us on 1/6 or sooner if something comes up.
