This certainly caught my eye... I just bought the same exact thing from Kendall & Hyde.

Not sure who came first, but the similar naming scheme is just as concerning. The only difference I have seen thus far has been the pen loop on the right hand side and the pre-oiled leather.

ElliottDaniel from Satchel & Page here. I am actually pretty friendly with Kendall (the owner of K&H)...They make nice stuff. I'm not sure what you are inferring about our name, but we came before K & H and the name of our company is inspired by Satchel Paige the great baseball pitcher of the 1940s. The main difference between our journals and the one you posted, is that our's is hand-stitched. Saddle stitching changes the entire construction process, adding about an hour of intricate labor for each journal. The other differences include: our pockets have a slanted design, pen loop as you mentioned, our leather is fully tanned and hot stuffed with oils and waxes, and we burnish and oil the edges.
