Not bad for the price, but way too slow to be your method of filtering while you are hiking. If I use it again I would only use in camp when backpacking with a group.

Took this back-packaging and absolutely loved it! Easy to use and didn't make to make as many trips to the water source as I use to with my smaller one. Easy to carry, easy to clean, easy to store.

My 2nd Sawyer product so I already knew I liked the filter. I like the large opening for filling the gallon bag and it works fine but I wish the material was more flexible rather than rigid. I've got a wear spot where the corner was against my pack wall from just a 10 mile hike. I'll make sure the bag isn't against the edge next time. Sawyer should hook up with Hydrapak so their products are compatible.

Love this system much more than the smaller pumping ones that take forever...lightweight and easy to pack..

Pros: Large volume Light weight Easy setup (mostly)
Massdrop price was great and ordering process/delivery a breeze
Cons: V E R Y....S L O W. Plan ahead
Dirty bag fill opening is about the size of a widemouth nalgene. Makes it hard to fill the bag fully unless you have deep or falling water source.
They should have flipped the handle and opening of the bag so the handle was opposite diaganol the outflow nozzle. When you hang from the handle the outflow nozzle is not the lowest point. I've been having from a line tied to the opening.
All in all good choice for the price for my scout troop as long as we plan ahead and make a few adjustments.
