I ordered a box of the needles before and they were considerably higher. I just ordered another box as a friend is going on a mission trip to the Dominion Republic and I donated 3 good machines, had them serviced and the box of needles for her to take with machines. We are donating all kind of sewing items as they will be teaching sewing and quilting.

Clover50I ordered before also at higher price but then noticed these are Universal and what I ordered before were sharps. I'm piecing quality quilt cottons and the 70 sharps and aurifil thread are working great. I have no use for universal needles. If I'm sewing heavy I'll use topstitch or jeans in appropriate size. On rare occasions I'm sewing stretch or knits, I'll use a ballpoint or stretch needle, not universal.
