I see these are for "Delicate wines" but how appropriate would these be to serve an everyday red or sparkling wine in? I have never purchased wine glasses before and dont drink much of it, but my friends do.

NJbonelessHey, this would not be a glass to serve any sparkling wines in due to the shape. Sparklings are usually served in a "flute" design. At this price point, it's most probably an everyday wine glass. Most suitable for serving your dinner reds in. Cabernet, pinot noir, merlot, etc.

NJbonelessThese glasses will work for all of your wines. Also, you can definitely serve sparkling in this type of glass. Flutes are not the best for sparkling IMO. Do a side by side comparison between a flute and a wider glass and see for yourself. Also, this physicist suggests a brandy glass for champagne (much closer in design to these burgundy glasses)
, and gives good reasons behind it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeEF7-Le_zg

jumpingcloudInterestingly enough, "Milk Street" magazine (founded by one of the guys from "America's Test Kitchen" and "Cook's Illustrated") has found that serving champagne in bigger, rounder glasses is better than the conventional flutes: https://www.177milkstreet.com/2016/11/the-trouble-with-champagne-flutes.
